English 8

Today students began class with a 15 minute journal write.  Students had the option during this time to complete a story that they had begun last day.  Students may read this story aloud to the class when complete.

Students then worked together to story plot the story of Iqbal.

Students used a story-plot diagram and in groups, discussed the introduction, activating circumstance,  rising action, climax, falling action, and conclusion of Iqbal.  Some students may want to re-read portions of the novel for better understanding of the content.

We then finished the class with a frank discussion about the quality of work that is being produced.  Students and myself discussed how we can work together to make sure that best practice is always maintained.
