Today students reviewed poetic devices.
Students then read their prepared poems, if they desired to do so.
Next, we read part one of Coleridge's Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner and provided some analysis.
Finally, students chose a picture and began creating a descriptive poem using at least four poetic devices. This poem will be due next class (Wednesday, May 23).
