Today students began the class by journaling. We then reviewed poetic devices.
Students read three poems:
An Old Time See-Flight by Walt Whitman
The Sea Gipsy by Richard Hovey
The Shell by James Stephens
Students were then charged with the task of writing their own poem. This poem must have at least three poetic devices and they must be clearly outlined. This poem is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday.
