Language Arts 7

Today students began class by recalling, from our discussion last day, what they knew about personal identity.  We generated a web on the board.


Students then created a web outlining features of Jasmine's (from White Jade Tiger) personal identity.



Students then created their own web in which they identified aspects of their own personal identities.
Finally, students worked on an assignment that compared similarities and differences between themselves and Jasmine.


When students came back from lunch, they were given the option of working on their assignment or reading silently.

Students then came together in a circle and we read chapter 3 together from White Jade Tiger.

Finally, we did some mad libs together.

HOMEWORK: For homework, students must read chapters 4-6 in the novel.
