Language Arts 7

Students began the class with a free write.  Students were able to choose any topic to write a poem, story, comic strip, etc....

Students then participated in a quick write that I first demonstrated.  Students read their quick writes out loud to the class.  There were some funny stories!

Next, we discussed the components of a "how to" paragraph.  Students watched a three Just for Laughs gags and broke down the components of how to re-enact the prank.  Students, in bullet form, wrote down the components.  We will use these next class to write a "how to" paragraph.

Students read for 20 minutes after lunch before working through their method books in band class.
