Today we had a journal write. We then divided into groups and discussed different types of attributes that might cause us to feel "love." Students distinguished between different physical and personality traits that revolve around this emotion.
Students then shared their thoughts to the class. We then began the first act in A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare.

SS 10: Reminders from Tuesday, October 11 2011
Today we began a new unit. Miss Davies, our student teacher, went over life in Victorian times. We attempted a Victorian parlour game and tried to lift ourselves using one arm (an impossible task!).
We then chose a Victorian topic and began to create a power point presentation for which to present to the class.

SS 10: Reminders from Thursday, October 6 2011
Today, after you have finished your test, you will have an opportunity to address our unit one artifact:
Feel free to get up and have a look at it. Make sure that you name the artifact in your entry and discuss how it would have been important and useful in Canada during the early 1800s. Your entry will be evaluated on the amount of historical and geographical content to which you can connect the artifact.
Please you make sure to include your first name with your comment (and last initial if you share a name). The school expectations are a given here, so make sure that your comment is appropriate and that you are a good ambassador.
Good Luck!
