Language Arts 7
Today students began with some time to prepare their hot seat presentations.
Students then read quietly and got better in touch with their characters.
Students also generated a list of questions that they might ask each other during the hot seat:

Music and Language Arts.
Today students worked through the sections that they will be tested on this coming Friday.

Today we cooked stuffed mushroom caps and made the teriyaki sauce for our stir fry which will be cooked on Wednesday.

Today students worked on their introductions for their upcoming concert in Harrison Hot Springs.

Students then had some time to dress up as their characters in preparation of their hot seat exercise.
After assessing what they might need from home, students had some time to practice their instruments for out upcoming concert next week.

Today grade sevens worked with Coro for our third African Drumming session.

Today students began with their Confederation Debate. Unfortunately, despite some enthusiasm, the debate was pretty limp. Thank goodness George Brown was up to the challenge!
In the end, the Fathers of Confederation chose proposals 1, 5, 6, and 8.
Students then began an exercise reinforcing their understanding of the order of the conferences and the amount of time it genuinely took our early Canadians to come to an agreement.

Today students played through Popcorn, some of Eye of the Tiger, and Conquest. Way to go everyone!
