Socials 9

Today students began by taking notes on the different regions of France.

Anyone absent should see me for the notes.  Students then completed a mapping activity of the different growing regions of France.  Using pages 57 and 58 of Crossroads, students were asked to look at varying areas and speculate as to the wealth of the seigneurs, middle class, and peasants.  Students were refreshed on farming techniques of the time:


We then looked together at the map in detail on page 58.  Students were asked to speculate as to why those living in more wealthy regions found more success than others.  This was to be handed in at the end of class.
