English 8

Today students began class by recalling what we talked about last class… their lives in opposition to those forced into child slavery.  Students then watched a second portion of the chocolate documentary:

Students then were given articles from the website below to consider and apply to case studies.

We then read the first chapter of Iqbal together as a class.

Students were asked to write a paragraph from the point of view of one of the child labourers.  They were asked to consider the conditions of their environment and discuss what they saw, heard, smelled, tasted, and felt.

HOMEWORK: Students must read Chapter 2 for homework.
