English 8

Students began the day with a journal write.

Students then became journalists and had to come up with a question to ask Iqbal (me), as I sat in the hot seat.  The questions should have shown that reading had in fact taken place.

Students were then given 20 minutes to complete one of the following tasks:

Answer: What effect do you think Iqbal's rebellion will have on the children in the factory?

OR

Write a journal entry about something you believe in as much as Iqbal believed in freeing the bonded children.

OR

Create a visual representation of Iqbal and the children in the tomb.

Finally, we began reading chapter 8 together and this will be due for homework.

HOMEWORK: Read all of chapter 8 in Iqbal.
