Band / Language Arts 7

Today we started by playing our band instruments for 30 minutes.  We warmed up with "Hard Rock Blues" and "Conquest".  Students worked through the first 13 bars of a new piece called "Popcorn".  We then worked on bars 13-21 of "Eye of the Tiger."  Students are sounding great!!

We then set up for Language Arts.  Students were asked to create a short skit that had strong conflict within it.  Students then discussed what the particular conflict was about for each skit.

Students then took notes on internal and external conflict:

Finally, students have been asked to prepare another short skit that heavily deals with conflict and they must be sure enough about the conflict to ask others what the conflict is.
