Students were still unable to manage themselves to a certain degree, so in the end, we went back to worksheet based learning. After a short journal write, students refreshed themselves on what a sentence is:

Next, students had a short demonstration on types of sentences:
Students then worked through exercise 11 on types of sentences.
Finally, students worked on writing subjects and predicates by providing a subject and then having another classmate complete the sentence with a predicate. Not surprisingly, some of the sentences began to be inappropriate for school. This is such a shame.
