We began by taking notes on more examinable terms: apostrophe, aside, assonance, atmosphere, audience
Students then completed underlining the proper and common nouns in a paragraph. We continued on with parts of speech by looking at pronouns. We watched the School House Rock cartoon on pronouns and then completed a pronoun worksheet.
Finally, students used a picture to create a descriptive paragraph. Students were encouraged to use the five senses while writing.
