English 8

Students began by completing a journal entry.  They were asked to focus on the MADD presentation from yesterday as well as discuss why they celebrate Christmas.

We then looked at the history of our names.  Each student was provided a handout about their name from the following website:  http://www.behindthename.com

Students were then asked to answer the following questions in point form:


Students listened to my own name history before beginning:


Students then shared their findings with a partner.

Next, students reviewed the usage of to, too, and two.  There will be a quiz on this information on Thursday.

Finally, students played a round of Scattergories.
