Today students began by writing what they might do if they won the lottery. We then shared some of the ideas.
Next, we compiled a list of various lotteries.
Then, we read The Lottery by Shirley Jackson. Students then answered comprehension questions in groups. Students will choose four of the questions and answer them in full sentences, finding quotations to back up their ideas. Students may only use four words in each quotation!
