Well, in case anyone cares, I'm heading off to Scotland in 11 days. The countdown is now on, for I've even gone so far as hauling up my suitcase from the crawl-space. That must mean business.
At present, I'm feeling a mix of varying emotions and suppose that when I'm sitting on the plane, the most predominant will make itself known; there will be no turning back.

Today students began with notes on Bits and Pieces of Canadian History.

Grade Seven Band Concert
Congratulations to the grade sevens who participated in a band concert at the elementary school today!

Reminders from June 6 2012
Today students began with integrated quotation practice. Students were required to incorporate five quotations into their own responses to five questions.
Next, students began reading Richard Connell's The Most Dangerous Game. Students read all but the last two pages in class and are required to complete the rest for homework. We will begin a related assignment in class tomorrow.

Today students began with a journal entry. Any students required to make up work, did so at this time.
Next, we began reading Richard Connell's The Most Dangerous Game. Students read about one third of the way through and then created an ending based on their own predictions. If this was not handed in at the the end of class, it is to be completed for homework by Monday, June 11 2012.
